Kim Kardashian has been considering remaining single for half a decade following her acrimonious split from ex-husband Kanye West and her brief romance with Pete Davidson.
The 45-year-old reality TV star is currently dating British racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
Speaking to the UK’s Sunday Times newspaper on October 3, Kardashian said, “I was really alone for five years. And it felt great. I was able to focus on my children and the projects I really wanted to be involved in.”
Kardashian said she’s in no rush to get back into the dating pool.
“I didn’t really feel empty,” he continued. “I felt like I needed time. I wanted to fully heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I wasn’t even really thinking about it. The universe works in your favor when you let it.”
Asked if she wanted to comment on her relationship with Hamilton, the 41-year-old said: “In the most respectful way, I’d probably prefer not to.”
Kardashian and Hamilton had been friends for years before becoming romantically linked earlier this year. The couple made their relationship Instagram official in June.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum dated from October 2021 to August 2022, shortly after Davidson filed for divorce from West, now known as Ye, in February 2021. Kardashian and Ye share four children together, and their divorce was finalized in November 2022.
Davidson told Variety last week that being bullied by Ye during her relationship with Kardashian eventually “paved the way” for her to meet up again after their breakup.

“I like to think I got it out of the way for him because whoever that guy was, he was going to get it,” he said. “I cleared the way for him to get back into the dating pool.”
Ye suffered from documented mental health issues during and leading up to his divorce from Kardashian, including a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
Davidson likened men who pursue relationships with any of the Kardashian women to the Marines, but noted that he knew “what he was getting into” when he started dating Kardashian, whom he called “super respectful.”
“Look, man, it’s a really tough atmosphere if you’re not playing,” he explained. “One of the things I love about Kim and the whole family is that they’re like, ‘This is what we do.’ they say. “I found it very attractive and mature.”
