The actor of the TV series ‘Pretty Little Liars’ said he was held at gunpoint and knifepoint during the mugging attack

Actor Keegan Allen, known for his role in the teen drama series “Pretty Little Liars,” claims in a video posted on Oct. 9 that he was brutally attacked by two masked men in West Hollywood.

Allen, who is seen bleeding from his head in the video published on his Instagram account, says that he was robbed in front of Laurel Supply, a luxury grocery store in the Los Angeles district.

“These two guys hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then they ran away,” a visibly bloodied Allen says in the graphic video, holding his breath. He adds that the attackers took his watch.

Responding to the comments under his video, the 37-year-old actor told fans he went to hospital following the incident and “definitely suffered a concussion.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released a statement in response to NBC News’ request for comment on the incident. The LAPD’s Major Crimes Bureau is investigating the armed robbery reported on Oct. 8, the department said.

In an Instagram video, Allen shared footage of the attack in which two men allegedly pointed a gun at the victim. One of the men hits the victim in the head.

“I was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two teenagers who threatened and will KILL me off my watch! God said no tonight. For a watch my dear,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

Allen wrote in response to a comment that one of the attackers also demanded the bracelet the actor was wearing, which led to the beating.

“I was trying to explain to him that it wasn’t easy to take off and I said ‘you can take it off’ and he hit me with the gun,” Allen wrote.

Deputies responded to the incident around 9:05 p.m. and spoke with a victim who reported being approached by two male suspects dressed in black, the sheriff’s department said in a statement. The victim told deputies that one suspect pointed a gun at him and the other brandished a knife.

The statement said, “During the incident, one of the suspects hit the victim in the face with a gun, causing a tear on his forehead.” “The suspects took the victim’s watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.”

The statement stated that Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and medically evaluated the victim, who was not hospitalized.

In his post, Allen called out Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass and California governor Gavin Newsom.

“Let’s hope @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and all those swarm cameras everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals,” Allen wrote on Instagram.

In a statement sent to NBC News, Bass called the incident “horrific.” He also pointed out that West Hollywood is an unincorporated city and the LA County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation. It’s not technically part of the city of Los Angeles.

“Nobody should have to go through something like this,” Bass said.

Serious crimes in the area decreased nearly 10% from January to August, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. There was also a decrease in robberies. Statistics show that 49 robberies were reported through August. This represents a 21% decrease compared to 62 incidents during the same period in 2025.

In response to recent October incidents, a department spokesperson said the agency has increased the number of deputies on patrol throughout the city.

“While these declines are encouraging, they do not diminish the seriousness of recent robberies or the fear felt by our community,” a spokesperson for the department said.
