David Dobrik and WAVERS set the table for New York Fashion Week

There are many rooms built around being seen at New York Fashion Week. AT THE TABLE gave guests a reason to stay for dinner. On September 9, DOUGHBRIK’S and the Goldburg Family Foundation’s WAVERS Crisps take over Ketchy Shuby’s in New York City; where WAVERS Co-Founder David Dobrik and Jack Goldburg of Jack’s Dining Room hosted an evening that paired the usual Fashion Week social hustle with the foundation’s work addressing food insecurity and supporting students.

The result felt closer to a well-connected dinner party than another stop on the NYFW circuit. It’s complete with a cocktail hour, family-style meal, surprise dessert, and an after-party that lasts well into the night.

A Guest List from Around the World

Fashion Week crowds have a habit of being drawn from various corners of pop culture simultaneously, and AT THE TABLE leaned into that mix. Dixie D’Amelio and Natalie Noel, Breece Hall, Kendall Washington, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, Shiggy and running backs joined the New York Jets. Summery Starring Jesse Solomon and Ben Waddell.

Zach Dereniowski, Kit Keenan and Lauren Wolfe were among the other creatives, athletes, entrepreneurs, media personalities and tastemakers who filled Ketchy Shuby for the evening.

Group of Tomorrow worked behind the scenes on the concept and implementation; oversaw branding, guest list strategy, event curation and public relations surrounding Dobrik, Jack’s Dining Room, WAVERS and the Goldburg Family Foundation.

Dinner Becomes the Main Event

The night started at 19.00 with cocktails and the first taste of the new WAVERS series, and guests settled at the tables. Dinner came family style; Ketchy Shuby was serving rigatoni vodka, roasted chicken, miso-glazed salmon and other restaurant delights.

Dobrik and Goldburg were part of the fun with a surprise dessert presentation. Cameras captured the moment before the dinner turned into an after-party, and the gathering at Ketchy Shuby continued long after the plates were cleared.

The food also connected the party to a larger purpose. The evening raised awareness of the Goldburg Family Foundation’s food pantry and scholarship programs, highlighting their work providing food to their New York City neighbors and creating educational opportunities for underserved students.

WAVERS Carries Its Decline to Autumn

The latest version of the brand, which introduces chips prepared with avocado oil and gluten-free ingredients, was presented to the guests with WAVERS on the tables. The lineup of four flavors includes Late Night Pizza, Spicy Pickle, Extra Cheesy and Hot Honey, packaged in new 4-ounce U.S. bags and 80-gram international bags.

The NYFW dinner also preceded another New York food event on the WAVERS calendar. WAVERS and the Goldburg Family Foundation also hosted a booth at the Yes Chef Food Festival at Citi Field in late September.

AT THE MASA ultimately found its identity in the overlap. Fashion Week crowds rallied around food, a snack brand entered the evening through the menu rather than dominating it, and the Goldburg Family Foundation used the opportunity to bring its community programs in front of a broader audience. On one of the first nights of NYFW, the table itself became the place to be.
