Miley Cyrus Helps Fan Shave His Head Before Chemo Treatment

Miley Cyrus recently stepped up to help a fan who was going through an emotional battle with breast cancer.

The singer met fellow musician Cash Jacobs after one of his shows at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this month. During their hanging, Cyrus helped Jacobs, who had Stage 3 breast cancer, shave her head to prepare for chemotherapy treatments. The process was reflected in a video shared on social media on October 21. For Jacobs, this moment was extremely meaningful.

“Thank you @miley. For making me feel safe and comfortable, for making time for me, and for being just you,” Jacobs wrote in the post’s caption. “Continuing to watch you grow is such a gift and you are forever my biggest inspiration. Stay soft and strong 🤍”

In the video, Cyrus gives uplifting advice to Jacobs. The “Flowers” star also says a few words before the make-up.

“Thank you to the universe for bringing us together, celebrating our bond, and celebrating what music does for the world; it brings together people like you and me who may never have met,” Cyrus says.

The video then goes into the makeup process.

“Let’s go girl,” Cyrus says before bringing the bell to Jacobs’ head.

The duo also shares some light moments; Cyrus points out how great Jacobs looks in the new model.

“You’ve got cute ears, you’ve got a nicely shaped head, you’ve got a gorgeous face,” Cyrus says.

Jacobs connected with Cyrus after she posted a video in which she shared her breast cancer journey and called on the singer to shave her head. The internet responded by tagging Cyrus, and the “Malibu” singer eventually emerged.

In an Oct. 21 post, Jacobs revealed that Cyrus not only flew him to Los Angeles and gave him tickets to the show, but also helped him get through “one of the scariest and most intimate moments of my life.”

“They say don’t meet your idols. So I did. And it was everything and more,” Jacobs wrote.

He added that Cyrus’ music always cheered him up during difficult moments in his life.

“And when they pass, I can listen to her songs and be reminded that I got through this and came out stronger,” Jacobs wrote. “Between major depressive episodes and finding out I had stage 3 breast cancer. I’m so lucky to be able to reach her and her team and give me this opportunity of a lifetime.”

Jacobs also thanked the internet for making this all happen, before praising Cyrus for her kindness.

“Miley is the softest, coolest, MOST GRACEFUL and genuine person I have ever had the privilege of meeting and spending time with. And not to mention she SHAVED MY FUCKING HEAD!!!!! WHAT?!?” Jacobs wrote. “I want to hold on to this moment and always remember the conversations we had and how much they meant to me.”

Cyrus’ two nights at the Hollywood Bowl were every bit as emotional. The singer, whose latest performances marked her first solo show since 2022, broke down on opening night as she paid tribute to her godmother, the late country legend Dolly Parton.

“Me and Dolly, we are immortal,” Cyrus said as she addressed the crowd while sitting at the edge of the stage. “Nothing in this life can separate us.”
