Richard Gadd, Bill Camp and Ray McKinnon Join Western’s ‘Rode to Ruin’

Emmy-winning actor and writer Richard Gadd, multiple Emmy and SAG-nominated actor Bill Camp and Oscar-nominated filmmaker and actor Ray McKinnon are joining the Western thriller “Rode to Ruin,” directed by Michael Keaton.

Keaton also stars alongside Morgan Freeman and Laura Linney in the film, which is currently in production in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Angel has acquired worldwide rights and will release “Rode to Ruin” theatrically in 2027.

Also joining the cast are Chris Candy, Travis Hammer, Thom Rivera and Derek Hinkey.

“Richard, Ray and Bill are the type of actors who make every scene better just by being in it,” said producer Lori McCreary. “They each bring so much specificity, humanity, and truth to their work that it’s incredibly exciting to see them alongside Michael, Morgan, and Laura. Avy Kaufman helped us make this cast something very special.”

The story follows a retired U.S. marshal who searches for his wife’s killer for 40 years, an aging outlaw who has lost his memory, and his discovery of a buried truth from which neither man will survive, according to the synopsis.

Gadd plays Clive McKinney, the young, dangerous and charismatic leader of a gang of outlaws who roam the region in search of a rumored fortune and the man who destroyed his family.

“Rode to Ruin” is produced by McCreary, Keaton, Kelly Mendelsohn, Gary Lucchesi and Richard Gray for Freeman and McCreary’s Revelations Entertainment and Keaton’s George and Leona Productions.

R. Dean McCreary wrote the script and executive producers include Steve Sarowitz, Carter Boehm, Skip Herman, Blake Johnson, Randall Emmett and John Bommarito.

Gadd is repped by UTA, Individual Artist Management and Casarotto & Markham, Froggatt & Irwin. Camp is represented by UTA, Franklin, Weinrib, Rudell & Vassallo and PC McKinnon.

Linney is repped by CAA, Lighthouse Management + Media and Kevin Yorn; Keaton is repped by CAA and JSSK, while Morgan Freeman is repped by CAA and Sloane is repped by Offer, Weber and Dern.
