Although security escorted the attacker out, Kimmel hopes this isn’t the last time the president hears that statement.
“Wouldn’t it be a shame if people started yelling that everywhere he went? ‘Put that ballroom up your fat ass!'” Kimmel said Tuesday night. “You know what would be worse? If people started printing it on shirts.”
To show how embarrassing this would be, he showed something like this:
“Please, please don’t do this tomorrow at his next rally in Ohio or South Carolina,” Kimmel said. “Please! Below us.”
The heckler was referring to the planned White House ballroom, a project Trump has been obsessed with for more than a year. The president initially claimed it would cost $200 million and be paid for by private donors. But more recent reports suggest the cost of the ballroom has risen to $600 million, with taxpayers covers half.
