Nick Cave to Go on North American Tour with ‘Evening Talk and Music’

Eight years after touring with a combination of audience Q&As and solo music, Nick Cave will return to North America with “Conversations With Nick Cave: An Evening of Talk and Music,” the follow-up to his 2019 tour of the same name. This follow-up will air across 25 dates in the US and Canada in the spring.

Performances will begin on April 9, 2027 at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theater and end on May 21 at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. During the six weeks in between, Cave will perform at the Orpheum in Los Angeles (April 20-21), the Kings Theater in Brooklyn (May 7-8), the Orpheum in San Francisco (April 16-17), and 5th Ave. in Seattle. He has booked two-night stays at the Theater (April 13-14), Massey Hall in Toronto (April 29-30), and the Boch Center Schubert Theater in Boston (May). 4-5).

In addition to the Vancouver and New Orleans bookends, there are also single screenings for Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Asheville and Atlanta. (Scroll down for the full list of images.)

The shows are described as “a mix of unexamined questions from the audience and intimate performances at the piano of Cave’s extensive catalogue.”

“Many years ago, I traveled around the United States in a strange mood, appearing on stages in different cities and answering audience questions. It was a strange, almost hopeless idea, but those nights were deeply healing for me. I hope the audience felt the same,” Cave said in a statement.

“It’s been eight years,” he continued. “The Red Hand Files’ reach and stature has grown; the talking points have expanded, and it feels like the perfect time to return to America, to a different America than eight years ago, and bring back the ‘Conversations…’ show. I’ll take my piano with me, play a few songs, and answer questions. What could go wrong?”

The pre-sale will start at 10 a.m. local time on November 11 and will last 24 hours; Registration for access will be made here. The general sale will start at 10 a.m. local time on November 13.
