Selma Blair Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Aircraft Personnel After Flight

Selma Blair was arrested Sunday following an alleged violent incident on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York. Diversity confirmed.

According to TMZ, the “Legally Blonde” actress allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another after trying to open the plane’s door while in the air. Law enforcement parked at the gate and intervened as the plane landed in New York; where Blair, 54, was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation. Two flight attendants reported injuries, one of whom was treated at the hospital.

Blair’s representative said: Diversity: “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behavior. She received immediate medical attention upon landing and is currently in stable condition.”

Port Authority confirms Blair’s identity Diversity. A source said the FBI is currently investigating the incident.

In a statement DiversityA Delta Air Lines spokesperson said: “Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or illegal behavior because the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”

Despite the chaos on the ship, there was no operational impact on the flight, which landed at John F. Kennedy Airport earlier than planned at around 23:00.

This isn’t Blair’s first outburst on a plane. In 2016, while traveling with her 4-year-old son, she was removed from a flight on a stretcher after suffering a “complete psychotic blackout.” Blair attributed the incident to drinking a glass of wine and taking pills, saying at the time: “It was terrible and frightening and I empathized with myself afterwards because it was so out of character for me, especially being a mother.”
