After 20 years (and more than 25 years in TV), Dan Silberman, vice president of communications at A+E Global Media, is leaving to take on a new role in artificial intelligence. Silbermann joins Sol as its new head of marketing and communications, working with businesses on the implementation of AI workflow.
Silbermann will report to Sol’s managing partner Kaan Aslansan and continue to work in New York. At Sol, Silberman will handle brand, marketing and communications strategy, including “positioning and narrative, earned media, content and thought leadership, digital presence, internal communications and reputation management.”
“We built Sol on the strength of our delivery. Now we are investing to ensure the market knows this,” Aslansan said in a statement. “Dan has built and championed brands under true public scrutiny, on a scale that most firms have never touched. He is exactly who the next phase of growth needs and will enable the market to see what our clients are already doing.”
At A+E Global Media, Silbermann managed media relations, corporate and internal communications, crisis management, social strategy and talent relations for A&E Network, History Channel, A+E Factual Studios, A&E Indie Films and more. He began his career at Rubenstein Communications in New York, then joined Bravo Media, where he helped turn it into a pop culture destination with early hits like “Queer Eye for the Straight Man” and “Project Runway.”
“Twenty-five years in television has taught me that attention follows not just the work itself, but the story you tell about your work,” Silberman said. “Sol is competing with companies several times its size and winning, which is a rare case where the story is there waiting to be told. I join a team of practitioners who are reshaping the way their clients work, and I’m here to make sure it looks like that. I’ve made a career out of learning a new business from the best people in it. I want Sol to be the name people already know when we walk into the room.”
Sol’s “agent AI systems, workflow modernization, and workforce transformation” focuses on areas such as media, entertainment, and advertising technology, as well as state and local government and education.
