Crystal Kung Minkoff disagrees with pal Jeff Lewis’ harsh criticism of “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gina Kirschenheiter.
“I could say that to his face; I don’t agree with what he says about it,” Minkoff, 43, recently told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.” “I love Gina. I think she’s a great person and I’m really impressed with what she’s done with her life.”
Although the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum said “coming up on people from nowhere” isn’t her “style,” she couldn’t hold back after Lewis called his California girlfriend a “white trash cheater” after a heated back-and-forth on his radio show “Watch What Happens Live.”
The “Still Flipping Out” star, 56, blasted Kirschenheiter, 42, during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” in September.
When asked which Real Housewife she would never want to design her home for, Lewis singled out Kirschenheiter, claiming she couldn’t work with his budget. She also showed up for her upcoming wedding to fiancé Travis Mullen, stating that “Breaky people shouldn’t have big weddings.”
Kirschenheiter, on the other hand, applauded Lewis at last weekend’s Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston, South Carolina.
“I think it’s interesting that Jeff Lewis thought I would want him to design for me,” he said. “I’m pretty sure Jeff Lewis was responsible for the latest facial redesign, and look how that turned out.”
Kirschenheiter then stood up and raised his middle fingers, shouting “Damn it, Jeff Lewis!”
But the back and forth didn’t end there.
In the following days, Lewis appeared on the SiriusXM radio show “Jeff Lewis Live” to call Kirschenheiter a “white hustler.”
“From my perspective, I have no respect for her. She has never been ‘Real Housewives’ material from day one. She’s a Make-A-Wish Foundation,” she fumed on air, accusing the real estate agent of fabricating her own stories and faking her engagement in front of the cameras.
While tensions between the two Bravo personalities have certainly reached boiling point, Minkoff, who makes frequent appearances on Lewis’ radio show and “Still Flipping Out,” expressed hope that the two can mend fences in the future.
“Maybe fast forward a year and she’ll become really close friends with him,” Minkoff predicted. “That would make me really happy because I really respect them both. I really love them both.”
“Still Flipping Out” airs Mondays at 9pm on Bravo, with new episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
