Tom Hollander (“Dune: Prophecy,” “The Uprising”) is joining the cast of AMC’s satirical drama “The Audacity” in a recurring role in Season 2.
Production is currently underway in Vancouver, Canada, and the eight-episode season is scheduled to return to AMC and AMC+ in 2027.
Hollander will play Big Tim, described as “a powerful tech billionaire and CEO of Cupertino whose public persona masks a desire for control and revenge.”
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Tom Hollander join our already amazing cast,” executive producer, writer and showrunner Jonathan Glatzer said in a statement. “He makes everything he’s in smarter, funnier, and more dangerous, often all at the same time. We’re extremely excited.”
According to the official logline, the series “follows the twisted dreams, excessive egos, and ethical lapses of idiosyncratic future inventors. In a world where jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, biohacked tech bros, AI labs, and disillusioned teenagers are optimized at elite private schools, a daring data-mining CEO (Billy Magnussen) attempts to turn insight and influence into profit and power.” “The dark comedy drama confronts reality, intimacy, and the illusions that fuel our ever-changing world.”
Hollander joins Magnussen, Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, Everett Blunck, Thailey Roberge and Ava Marie Telek in the second season.
Hollander is repped by Anonymous Content, WME and United Agents.
