“Late Night” comedian Seth Meyers managed to get surprisingly candid answers from former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Vice President J.D. Vance during his latest mock briefing on Tuesday.
The recurring segment, in which Meyers’ probing questions are hilariously interrupted by what Trump officials say, began with Meyers asking Leavitt what she gave up when she started the role.
“A little honesty and a little honesty,” replied Leavitt, who routinely parroted Donald Trump’s lies throughout his time in the administration.
Meyers continued: “Since you no longer work for the White House, will you be able to answer our questions without lying?”
“Honestly, I’ve never tried it, so I don’t know,” he replied.
