The couple said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Fiona.” Peopleon TMZ and other outlets on Tuesday, September 29.
Lowe and Painter, 58, described Fiona as “a smart, creative and loving young girl who loved to dance.”
The couple, who also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, continued: “She was loved dearly by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”

“This is what’s left of the 10 years we’ve been building our lives. Our hearts are broken but we’re comforted by all the well wishes and offers of help,” Lowe captioned a photo on Instagram at the time showing the rubble of their home. “We are okay and we will be okay. We have each other. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.”
“Home is truly where the heart is. Keep the ones you love close. Take care of each other. This crazy thing called ‘life’ is so precious,” he added at the time.
A month later, Lowe and her daughters returned to the ruins of their home, as documented in another Instagram post.
“Almost a month after the evacuation, our daughters were finally able to return to see what was left of their home,” she wrote in February 2025. “The way they have coped with this whole devastating experience is extraordinary. I admire their spirit and resilience. Helping them get through these difficult times is my sole purpose. Being their father is the greatest joy and privilege of my life ⭐️⭐️⭐️.”
