Check out your friends who are Backstreet Boys fans, they might be offended.
The band, which started their “Into The Millennium HOMECOMING: Live in Germany” show on Friday, September 25, made an unforgettable entrance that will make their fans nostalgic.
In the video shared on Instagram, dramatic music plays as five singers (Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell) wear black-and-blue costumes and soar through the sky on surfboards.
“…but were you ready?” They added subtitles to the video.
Fans went crazy online after seeing the video of their surfboard entrance.
“I’M LOSING MY MIND I CAN’T DO THIS TAKE ME TO GERMANY NO!!!!! I’m shaking as I write this!!!!!!!! SURFBOARDS!!!!!!!! I’m feeling nauseous!!!! OMGGG,” one person wrote.
“Ouch—, are you serious? 😱😱😱😱 No, I wasn’t prepared for this. This is so amazing; you are just amazing,” added another.
“Oh my God, I would die,” “Screaming, crying, vomiting!” and “I CAN’T BREATHE” are among other strong reactions from fans.
Longtime BSB fans remember this epic entrance from 1999’s “Into the Millennium Tour.” Back then, they were flying around on futuristic surfboards while wearing matching looks of dark blue tank tops, checkered long sleeves, and navy blue trousers.
They opened with the song “Larger Than Life” while taking the stage.
“There were a few shenanigans on the ‘Millennium’ tour when we were flying into the crowd. Kevin got stuck there one night,” McLean told TODAY.com when first announcing Sphere residencies in Las Vegas in 2025.
Richardson added that he “stuck in there for three songs.”
This time, all seemed to go well for the 2026 version of the unforgettable opener.
Backstreet Boys will perform a series of shows during their first German concert at the Merkur Spiel-Arena Düsseldorf.
They previously shared that this location is special because it was “the first country to embrace the Backstreet Boys.”
“You saw who we were before the rest of the world even knew we existed. For that, we are forever grateful, and after 30 years, we are finally coming home,” they wrote on social media.
These concerts follow the highly successful “Into the Millennium” Sphere residency in Las Vegas, which was announced on TODAY in February 2025.
The show is a nod to their 1999 third studio album, “Millennium,” which included hits like “I Want It That Way,” “Larger Than Life” and “Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely.”
What was planned to be a series of summer shows in 2025 has since gone ahead, with more Sphere shows expected to arrive later this year.
