In the IBF light heavyweight title eliminator, organizers Matchroom Boxing are heading to England for an epic match between two world-class boxers. In the main event, 29-year-old British boxer Ben Whittaker will face 30-year-old Australian southpaw Conor Wallace. The match is scheduled for 12 rounds, with the winner getting a title shot against unified champion Dmitry Bivol.
The match between Whittaker (12-0-1) and Wallace (17-1-0) on Saturday, October 3 will kick off at Utilita Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, England, with kickoff at 2:00 PM ET/11:00 AM PT. The ring march for the main event is expected to take place around 5pm ET/2pm PT.
A few celebrities are likely to attend the boxing event as Ben Whittaker is set to compete against Conor Wallace in England. Including fans who have attended past fights like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Idris Elba, Maya Jama and others.
And in the main event, Whittaker is the favorite to win and moves on to the next step in the IBF light heavyweight title match. However, Wallace is a very technical and precise boxer, so don’t be surprised if he manages to survive all 12 rounds and win as the underdog.
