Ed Sheeran apologizes to fans during emotional concert in Philadelphia

Ed Sheeran gets emotional while talking about controversial repeal McLemore At a concert in Philadelphia on Saturday… he told fans that he was personally “shocked” by the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Ed told his fans that he was “very, very sorry” after “making a mistake” and told viewers why he decided to open up now.

He said… “I don’t want to let the fans down, I have never wanted to be a radical musician, but this has led me into an important and passionate debate about free speech and the most complex political issues on the planet. My concerts have always been a safe space for everyone, and that is very important to me. My commitment to the fans tonight is also completely important to who I am, which is why I am here on tour alone.”

He called the October 7 attack on Israel “catastrophic” and called Israel’s response “unreasonable” and “disproportionate.”

This is the first concert since then McLemore was start up from his “Free Palestine” post-controversial tour. The rest of the openers bowed out in solidarity… leaving Ed as the sole performer.

McLemore calls NFL owners Robert Kraft don’t like him pro-Palestinian Comment and pressure Ed to kick him to the curb… giving Ed an ultimatum to give up on McLemore or else.

Ed said he didn’t make a final decision on McLemore…Kraft said McLemore would have crossed a line by performing at his stadium. Other NFL owners rallied against McLemore, and he was pushed out.

Ahead of tonight’s show… a major pro-Palestinian group – the Philadelphia Palestine Alliance – announced they would be attending to protest the event.

However, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department told TMZ “appropriate measures” To ensure everyone’s safety, filming was conducted before the concert.
