Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who is serving an 11-year prison sentence for fraud, posted a cryptic message about
Holmes is still active on X since his sentencing in 2022, thanks to his social media team; “mostly my words posted by others,” his bio reads. Now it looks like the businesswoman, hustler and documentary subject will be publishing some of her messages herself.
“I was silenced for a long time. Then I was imprisoned. I fight to prove my innocence and return to my home, my babies, and the love of my life. I have now been imprisoned for 1,216 days and nights. During this time, my loved ones helped manage my account as I fought for freedom. Billy is one of the people who bears this responsibility for me. He fights fiercely for me and our family. I love him beyond space and time. From now on, all posts will be marked as my words -EAH. Posts without this signature will be marked by the person who manages this account. It comes from the team.”
Holmes, who signed the post with the initials “-EAH”, shared a photo of herself and her partner Billy Evans, with whom they have two children. In “You Can See Everything,” she and Evans invited Fielder and Oppenheim to their home to document their lives before Holmes’ prison sentence. The A24 movie opens in theaters on October 16, but it’s already made a splash after its surprise screening at this month’s Telluride Film Festival. It will be screened at the New York Film Festival this week.
Holmes’ post also comes on the heels of his announcement that he will be moving to the semester center next summer. Last week, a judge approved Holmes’ transfer to the Austin Transitional Center, a rehabilitation center in Del Valle, Texas, on August 23, 2027. Holmes remains at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp, a minimum security facility in Bryan, Texas, and is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2030, nearly four years early, for good behavior.
“I am deeply grateful for the support we have received as we fight to uncover the truth and challenge entrenched perceptions,” Holmes wrote. “Opening the letters of my supporters at the end of the unforgiving days constantly ignites the fire in my heart. ‘The truth will set you free.’ John 8:32.”
