Gypsy Rose Blanchard has called on her followers to sign an online harassment petition to honor her fiancé Ken Urker following his tragic death.
“In honor of Ken, I’m asking for your support for Kenan’s Law. 🤍,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.
“Ken was subject to intense online scrutiny before he passed away, and we think the targeted harassment and cyberbullying crossed the line,” the reality star said.
“Notifications were made across multiple platforms, and most of the time the response was: ‘No violations.'”
Blanchard, 35, said the legislation would be about “changing the way social media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment.”
“One post viewed alone may not tell the whole story, but hundreds of posts, videos, and comments sent to one person can reveal a pattern that deserves meaningful examination,” he wrote.
“This is not about silencing criticism or taking away anyone’s freedom of expression. Public figures can and should be criticized. But public figures are still human, and fame should never erase someone’s humanity.”
The “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockdown” alum said Urker’s death made her “determined to turn pain into purpose.”
“I can’t change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who thinks no one is listening,” he wrote.
“Please sign and share the petition to support Canaan’s Law. Fame does not erase humanity. A pattern cannot always be understood individually.”
As Page Six previously reported, Urker was found unresponsive in a Louisiana home on his 34th birthday on October 1.
Urker was reportedly discovered by a family member after Blanchard did not respond to a “happy birthday” message to him.
Following his passing, Blanchard spoke to TMZ and claimed that her “forever soulmate” died of an overdose.
Page Six exclusively reported that Urker, who quietly separated from Blanchard a month before her death, was found with drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun at the time of his death.
Ken’s sister, Autumn Urker, told the Daily Mail that she and her family were “disgusted” by Blanchard’s public comments.
“He hasn’t called my mom or any of us yet,” Autumn told the outlet.
In a separate interview with US Sun, Autumn accused Blanchard of lying about the circumstances surrounding Ken’s death; He particularly disputed claims that she was only found because she did not respond to a message wishing him a happy birthday.
In his statement to the press, he said, “Gypsy had no right to lie and say that this was the reason for a message he sent to her.”
Blanchard and Ken had an on-again, off-again relationship.
Ken proposed to Blanchard in 2018 while he was serving eight years in prison for the 2015 murder of his mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
The two briefly separated, and in July 2022, Blanchard married another pen pal, Louisiana teacher Ryan Scott Anderson, in prison.
Three months after Blanchard was released from prison in 2024, she filed for divorce from Anderson and rekindled her romance with Ken.
They have a 1-year-old daughter named Aurora, who was born in December 2024.
