“Harry Potter” HBO series has added another cast member.
Harry Gilby, Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn joined the cast as Charlie Weasley, James Potter and Lily Potter, respectively. The actors will take part in Season 1 of the series called “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.
The aforementioned orphaned wizard’s parents, James and Lily Potter, appeared in the “Harry Potter” movies in flashbacks, photographs and magical images. Charlie Weasley is a minor character in the books and does not appear in the films, so the HBO series strays away from the films about Ron Weasley’s older brother.
The first season of the “Harry Potter” TV show will premiere on HBO on December 25. Filming for the second season, based on the second book of JK Rowling’s hit fantasy series “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” is currently taking place at Leavesden Studios outside London.
The Season 1 logline reads: “There’s nothing special about Harry Potter – or so his Aunt Petunia tells him. But when a mysterious acceptance letter arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it opens the door to a hidden world of magic, friendship and adventure. But behind the magical walls of Hogwarts lie dark secrets. Harry must find the courage to prove himself against the darkest wizard of them all.”
