Prince Harry sharing Meghan Markle‘s reaction after his successful skydiving challenge in Canada.
The Duke of Sussex, 42, took to the skies in Toronto after making the promise to the 102-year-old World War II veteran. Ed MarshallShe would parachute with him to raise awareness for war charities. “We noticed that you called your wife, the Duchess, right after,” the interviewer told Harry and asked if it was difficult to get her to agree to her husband jumping out of the plane.
“I didn’t have to persuade him, but he was relieved when we got downstairs,” said Harry. “It took a while to get up, so I think he said: ‘Are they down yet? Are they down yet?'”
Harry joked that he should point the finger at Marshall for convincing him to skydive in the first place.
“I was blaming Ed anyway,” said Harry. “I said, ‘I can’t do it, I don’t want to do it, I wish I could get out of this,’ but Ed is so persuasive!”
During the interview, Harry also explained that there was no way he would back down from this fight after making his promise to Marshall.

Harry continued, “They put a parachute on him. We thought he’d probably jump off on his own – I’m glad he didn’t and he’s still here! And he’ll be 103 in a few months.”
After living abroad for six years (briefly in Vancouver and then in Montecito, California), Harry and Meghan returned to the UK with their children Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.

Originally from California, Meghan moved to England after her engagement to Harry in 2017. The couple quit their jobs as senior royal staff in 2020, opting for private life and leaving the country, taking their son Archie with them. Their daughter Lili was born the following year in California.
Harry and Meghan, who got married in 2018, did not publicly explain the reason for their return to England.
