James Ware and Lexi KramerPolice are investigating his social media pages over whether they were drinking heavily the night he was killed in his McLaren… TMZ has learned.
The Irvine Police Department told TMZ … “We are conducting an extensive investigation looking at every possible aspect leading up to this collision,” which includes reviewing photos posted by James and Lexi while they were out on a date last Sunday.
We’re told police are trying to find out if James drank before driving that night…so they’re very interested in the toxicology test results from the medical examiner’s office.
Meanwhile, they are checking social media for any clues about where they were and what they were doing in the hours before the crash.
A member of Lexi’s family told TMZ … her posts from that day show her and James having breakfast together and spending the day together, later having dinner at Nobu and drinking at a luxury hotel.
Lexi’s family said that after meeting online, James flew her from Florida to California… for their first in-person meeting. He was married, but Lexi’s family said he had told her he was getting divorced.
The family member told Us that Lexi said she and James “finished each other’s sentences” and developed a “deep connection that she had never experienced before.”
As we previously reported… Weir was behind the wheel of his 2019 McLaren sports car early Sunday morning when he out of control and plowed into a tree. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
exist video TMZ reports that Ware can be seen driving through a patch of wet road and seconds later, he slides off the road… and his car explodes as it hits a tree.
Ware’s family hired an attorney to advise them Litigation may be filed Versus Irving and/or McClaren.
The Irvine Police Department told CNN their investigation “will take several months to complete.”
