Nicole TaylorTaylor Red, a member of the country music trio Taylor Red, has passed away after a battle with breast cancer. He was 35 years old.
Nicole’s triplet sisters, Nika And Natalie TaylorHe announced his death with a video he shared on TikTok and Instagram on Monday, November 2.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our sister Nicole Taylor,” Nika said. “We really thought he would be healed here on Earth, but now he is healed in heaven.”
The sisters announced that Nicole was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2022.
“He was the aggressive type. When he first found out, in his words, ‘God will use this for His glory,'” Natalie said.
Nika continued: “She fought fearlessly and said, ‘We are not going to live in fear while all this is happening.’ She even did CrossFit while she was going through her chemotherapy treatments. She responded well to the treatments and was proven to be disease-free.”
Nicole’s health subsequently deteriorated and her illness progressed to stage IV. progressed to the next stage.
“She tried not to live in fear, she really stayed hopeful. She traveled, she tried to live life, she worked hard, she tried to have fun,” Natalie said.
Nine months later, Nicole was told she had “about three months” to live.
Nika said, “And if the treatments worked, they didn’t even know how long after that,” while Natalie recalled their sister telling the doctor, “Everyone will be judged, and I’m ready for it.”
The sisters later shared a clip of Nicole, who is in her 20s, discussing her faith, which she said helped her battle cancer.
“She lived about a year after that diagnosis, and during the time of the more extreme diagnosis, we felt guided and God encouraged us in many ways to not live in fear and not seek healing,” Natalie said.
Nika concluded: “He was with Nicole and us before he died. He said he was very at peace and we are truly grateful for that. We are still in shock and didn’t think this would happen, but we know he is no longer in pain and we have God’s promise of eventual recovery.”
In a YouTube video posted Monday, Nika and Natalie got emotional, sharing that Nicole’s diagnosis was “a huge shock.”
“We’re still processing everything,” Natalie said. “I find it really difficult to talk about this, to be honest, but we will do our best to share his story.”
Taylor Red was founded in 2010 and went viral on TikTok with its comedy skits and musical challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. They are best known for the songs “Country Money” and “Rent Free”.
