Actor Dakota Johnson got a little visit from her therapist BFF while hosting the Oct. 3 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
The “Verity” actress delivered a monologue for the sketch comedy show, referencing the good friends in her life who never judged her for her dating choices. Of course, one of them said their good friend took the stage – none other than pop icon Taylor Swift.
Johnson introduced her trusted friend as her “real therapist” in her rocky dating life. And things went off the rails.
“I’m actually not your therapist,” Swift said after joining Johnson on the Studio 8H stage. “You actually come to my house once a week with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some.”
Johnson defended himself.
“Yes, I have manners,” he said.
But Swift isn’t done.
“Then you plop down on my couch and overshare, and I often go, ‘Damn, this is so crazy,’” the recording artist said.
Johnson, who has hosted the show twice before, kicked off the second episode of the new season of “SNL.” He was accompanied by his musical guest, Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile.
Swift stopped by for a second time at her friend’s big night to bring a cake for Johnson, who turned 37 at midnight.
Johnson has also appeared in Swift’s projects. Most recently, she starred in Swift’s music video for “Patient Zero,” which premiered at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 27. In this film, Johnson and Swift appear to bond over a toxic ex played by Colin Farrell, and an unexpected ending reveals the shocking truth.
“Giggling with your friend was a new and truly enjoyable experience since you were twins throughout the entire shoot,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post about the making of the video with Johnson.
