New York City holds a very special place in the romantic history of Swift and Kelce, who tied the knot in front of a star-studded guest list at the famed Madison Square Garden on July 3. Kelce broke his silence about weddings while chatting with reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp on Aug. 12, joking that he had “a fun offseason.”
“The wedding was the best night of my life. I thank everyone who came and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said at a press conference. “That’s all I took away from that night. It was a crazy night. It was filled with a lot of celebration.”
At the same press conference, the Chiefs’ quarterback specifically talked about the honor of getting married at Madison Square Garden.
“MSG, man, I always told myself I was going to the playoffs. [New York] “The Knicks were swinging, and while I was stuck in mini-camp, my wife went too,” Kelce said. “I didn’t have the opportunity to go at that time, so it was nice to be able to get married there, at that venue, which was my childhood dream, which was the center of all gyms.”
