Celebrities hit the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Sunday in their wildest and wildest outfits.
While the last Emmys red carpet featured more classic looks with less fashion risqué, the VMAs were the exact opposite. Demonstrators carelessly waved leopard-print pink shirts with “Madonna” written on them and red Adidas shoes on the carpet.
The event, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, was hosted by Snoop Dogg. This was the first time in nine years that the awards ceremony, which Snoop made sure to celebrate, was held on the West Coast.
“MTV and the VMAs have been a part of my story from the beginning,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement after his hosting duties were announced. “Some of the biggest moments of my career happened on that stage and on MTV; they gave hip hop a place that was loud, fearless, and visible to the world. Now coming back and hosting the VMAs all these years later is such a turning point for me.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting Taylor Swift’s first red carpet appearance since marrying husband Travis Kelce in July. The “New Romantics” singer is second with nine nominations, behind Madonna’s 11.
