The MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by Snoop Dogg, will air live from Los Angeles this Sunday.
Madonna, this year’s most nominated artist, will open the exhibition with her first VMA performance in 23 years. Madonna is up for artist of the year, and her work on “Confessions II – The Movie” earned eight nominations alone.
Other artists include Raye, Sienna Spiro, Lisa (Blackpink), Gunna, Shaboozey and GENER8ION. Two special commemorative performances will be held; One of these will be Kacey Musgraves’ performance for the late Dolly Parton, and the other will be a George Michael tribute performance by Raye, Sombr and Teddy Swims.
On Monday, MTV announced the Artist Director Honors Awards, with Taylor Swift being presented with the inaugural award.
Big news for “Off Campus” fans; Presenters at this year’s VMAs include Prime Video hit stars Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright. Another notable name taking on the hosting role is reality TV it-girl Ciara Miller. Miller has been booked and busy since the “Summer House” debacle; She’s taking the ballroom by storm on the 35th season of “Dancing with the Stars” and co-hosting Love Island USA’s “Aftersun.”
Other artists appearing as presenters include Troye Sivan, Tyla and Alex Warren.
The MTV Video Music Awards premiere on Sunday, September 27 at 7:30 ET/4:30 PT on CBS and Paramount+.
