Warning: Spoilers from “The Traitors: New Blood” Episode 8 below…
The “fruit gate” is finally being brought to an end.
In the last three episodes of “The Traitors: New Blood,” Victor was pushing his (correct) theory that Tomica and Joe were traitors after he was tipped off to an apparent murder involving a poisoned apple. But despite all his efforts, the Traitor could not convince his friends to support him and received the most votes at the Round Table last week.
However, before he was exiled, host Alan Cumming shocked the players by revealing that Victor could be saved through the Power of Forgiveness. The person receiving the special power would solely decide Victor’s fate, deciding whether to continue his exile or spare him.
Episode 8, which aired on October 29 and was titled “Bad Apple Disrupts the Entire Group,” revealed the winner of the power and whether Victor’s time on the show will continue. Once the decision was made, the players had only a few hours to recover before Cumming came to breakfast the next morning and announced a surprise noon Round Table meeting would begin immediately.
Between the Round Tables, the Traitors also gathered in the tower to kill another innocent Loyalist. So did two or three players leave the goal at the end of the episode? Read the recap of Episode 8 below and find out if Traitors Tomica, Joe and Katie evade suspicion once again.
The Power of Forgiveness Reveals
Fans didn’t have to wait long for the final episode’s excitement to unravel. Alan immediately announced that Shane had won the Power of Forgiveness award and gave him a special medallion. Victor had to convince Shane, who had voted for his exile, to change his mind and save him. Victor said that he would not beg or plead for his life in the game. He simply told Shane that he was Loyal and if he had to be exiled to prove it, so be it.
The tactic worked and Shane decided to forgive Victor, which meant the exile was postponed. Victor was delighted and said, “A traitor will fall tomorrow.”
Tomica, who received the second most votes, said in her confession that she was worried about Traitor Katie voting for her. Meanwhile, Katie revealed that she was confused when Victor said he dropped Tomica’s name in his confessional.
Elsewhere in the castle, the Loyalists began to suspect that Victor was a Traitor based on his reaction when he learned of the Power of Pardon. They began to wonder if perhaps the “fruit gate” had any value.
A Crucial Murder Changes the Game
After all the Round Table chaos, the Traitors met in the tower to reveal the events of the night. In his confessional, Joe shared that he wanted the Traitors to stay together despite the tension between Tomica and Katie.
Katie immediately denied any potential problems arising between her and Tomica. He said Tomica knew he had no votes to go to when she voted for him. He also said that the Traitors needed to distance themselves from each other and that he thought it would confuse the Loyalists if they did not vote together.
The conversation moved on to the next elimination. The trio decide that Abby L., Victor and Clyde should be on the shortlist for murder.
One of the first people to come to breakfast was Victor. He once again shared his plan to target Tomica. When she entered the dining room later, she and Victor fought back and forth, accusing each other of being traitors.
The entire cast made their grand entrance before it was revealed that Abby L. had been murdered. In a flashback to the turret, Joe explains that he wanted to get rid of Abby L. because she was causing “the most opposition” with her theory that Wyatt was the Traitor. Katie also noted that Abby L. didn’t suspect any of it, so she was the perfect person to go to.

Abby L. said she was “really pissed” when she received the murder letter from Traitors.
He then doubled down on his latest false theory. “I knew that. It’s Wyatt. If I were Wyatt, I’d be killed too, so I understand,” he said.
Abby L. added, “But it was so much fun meeting everyone. There are so many wonderful people from so many different backgrounds that I would never meet in my normal life. I have so much data to analyze, I think I’ll get back to that.”
Alan interrupted the players’ breakfast to share some unexpected news: the group would skip the quest and head straight to the Round Table.
Leading up to the next elimination, both Tomica and Katie expressed their concerns in confessional interviews. Tomica said Victor was “rotten” as he was shown following her from room to room in the castle. Katie revealed two episodes ago that she regretted not supporting Tomica’s idea of killing Victor.
All Eyes on the Traitors at the Round Table
At the Round Table, Victor opened the discussion by questioning why Abby L. was killed. It has been suggested that the traitors killed Abby L. to frame Wyatt and divert suspicion from Tomica. When Tomica tried to defend herself and explain why she accidentally said Katie’s name last week, Kriste stepped in to defend her. He said Tomica’s mistake was due to menopause. Jay chimed in, reiterating his theory that Victor was a traitor.
But Victor was ruthless. He pressured Joe to explain his traitorous ideas. Joe briefly stumbles over her words before admitting that it’s possible Tomica is a Traitor.
When it came time to vote, fellow Traitors Joe and Katie joined many Loyalists in voting for Tomica. He was banished from the game after seeing his allies turn against him.
“First of all, I want to say that I loved this game. I had a great time with each of you,” Tomica said as he stood on the Circle of Truth. “But I took my plane a little too close to the sun and I got burned. Because I’m a traitor.”

Many of the players started cheering and celebrating. Clyde, Tomica’s close friend, began to cry.
In his final confession, the pilot said he didn’t believe the players realized he was a traitor. “Having Victor stick around planted a lot of seeds,” he noted.
“I came to this program to become a Hain. I wanted to push my limits, but I learned so much more along the way. I learned about myself. I learned about friendships and it has been a truly beautiful journey. Great to spread. “I’m grateful for that,” she added before wiping away tears.
Traitors Struggle After Round Table Fallout
Alan congratulated the players and announced that a “Highland Festival” would be held for the celebration.
In his confessional, Joe said he was hurt that he had to vote for Tomica. He said he felt very bad and started crying. Katie expressed a similar sentiment, noting that Joe seems suspicious “by default” because Victor also suspects him of being a Traitor. He called Victor “the messiah of the castle” and said that he now had too much influence over the Loyalists.
In the final moments of the episode, Joe was seen confronting Victor in the kitchen. He asked Victor directly if he planned to come after him. Victor said he doesn’t expect to get over the next murder. Joe flatly told him that if he was a traitor he would kill him.
