Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the comedian and longtime Las Vegas actor, real name Scott Thompson, attempted suicide in the Vegas area on Friday and was rushed to a local hospital.
His Friday night show in Luxor was canceled as a result.
CT representative Jami Schlicher TMZ tells TMZ … “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for their concern, prayers and respect.”
Carrot Top is known for its high-energy prop comedy, signature red hair, and elaborate stage presence. He has long been a headliner at the Luxor Hotel and has the longest stay in Las Vegas.
