Chad Lowe’s family is unveiling two new tributes to the actor’s late daughter, Fiona, following her tragic death at age 13.
Fiona’s older sister, Mabel, who Chad shares with his wife, Kim Painter, and their youngest daughter, 10-year-old Nixie, reposted tributes to Fiona’s former dance teacher and the youth club and camp she once attended on her Instagram Stories on Friday.
Dance teacher Kendra Andrews, sister of sports reporter Erin Andrews, shared two videos of Fiona rehearsing in a dance studio and offered words of encouragement as she practiced.
“This first video was shot just a month after you lost your home to a fire,” Kendra wrote, referencing the Palisades Fire. “You came to the studio like you always did for all the years I’ve known you… excitedly with a bright, bright smile and a big, warm hug for me.”
“The next video is our second rehearsal in a few weeks,” he continued. “You’ve clearly spent a lot of time outside the studio working hard on fine-tuning and refining. It’s been incredibly beautiful to witness your passion and determination.”
“When you performed it on stage a few days later, I didn’t film it because I wanted to be completely there and absorb it. I just watched it. [you] from the wings, [my] My heart swells with pride and my eyes fill with tears of joy.”
Kendra concluded: “FiFi, I love you more than words can express. It has been an honor to teach you, laugh with you, and watch you grow. Our hearts are shattered. We will never be the same here without you. I will miss you and love you forever ♥️.”
She also addressed Lowe, Painter, Mabel and Nixie directly, writing: “I love you and think about you endlessly.”
Widget Works, a youth group Fiona joins, also shared a series of photos and videos of fun times at the beach with her friends.
In Mabel’s re-posted video, Fiona joked that he was an “unstable pumpkin” as she chatted with a woman off-camera about the pumpkin-filled pillow she dubbed “Mr. Pumpkin”.
“Thank you Fiona. Thank you for all the good years we were able to have fun, dance, laugh and love each other,” the caption read. “Thank you for being such an important part of our Widget Works family and sharing your love, creativity, and sweet sass with us.”
“We will miss you, we will look for you in every wave, in every seagull call, and we will shout your name among the ‘we are proud of you’.”
“We love and adore you and our hearts ache to be without you,” Widget Works wrote. “But you will forever be a part of our summers, we will honor you and remember all the good times we were blessed with you ❤️ We love you Fiona 🌊❤️❤️❤️ 🌊.”
Fiona’s mother also commented on the post, saying: “I love you so much.”
Chad, whose brother is actor Rob Lowe, and his family announced Fiona’s death in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday, writing in part: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a smart, creative, and loving young girl who loved to dance.”
They concluded their statement by sharing the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Fiona’s cause of death was later confirmed to be suicide. He was pronounced dead at the hospital on Tuesday.
The next day, Chad’s father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, honored his late grandson by sharing a photo of Fiona smiling at the camera while swimming in the pool.
“Rest in peace, sweet Fiona,” he wrote in the caption.
More recently, Chad’s former “Bones” co-star David Boreanaz also paid tribute to Fiona on Instagram, writing this caption: “My deepest condolences to my friends Chad and Kim on the loss of their beautiful soul Fiona. May she be surrounded by light and dance with all the angels in heaven.”
Painter also commented on the post: “I love you so much @imdboreanaz – we all do.”
