‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Witney Carson Reacts to Speculation She Wants to Be Voted While Pregnancy

“Dancing with the Stars” pro Witney Carson and her partner Guillermo Rodriguez have been in the bottom three since the Season 35 premiere.

Carson and Rodriguez, who is currently pregnant with her third child, a boy, may have received the lowest ratings each week, but they certainly secured the popular vote.

Following the Sept. 29 episode of “DWTS,” in which they earned a score of 15 out of 30, their highest score to date, Carson reacted to speculation that she was set for elimination.

“I feel like I need to address some of the rumors or some opinions, speculation, whatever you want to call it, that are going around,” Carson said in the TikTok video. “Guillermo and I are in the bottom three every week, which doesn’t mean all couples get the lowest votes, but it does mean you don’t get to celebrate being safe. You just get to hear who goes home.”

When cameras showed her reaction after the eliminated couple was announced, she said it made her “really sad for the people going home.” Then there’s the “excitement” to continue competing.

“These two emotions are present at the same time,” he continued. “But my first reaction is sad for the person going home and then of course we celebrate and they don’t show it much.”

“Yeah, I’m so glad we’re moving on,” Carson said. “… I’m really grateful to continue this competition with Guillermo every week because he really deserves it. He’s a really kind person. He really wants to get better. He never gives up.”

He shared that Rodriguez continues to train whenever he has rest and is so dedicated.

“The ones you see on Tuesdays are her best,” the dancer explained. “There’s a lot to be said for someone who doesn’t have the skills but is willing to learn and work. That’s a great thing.”

She also addressed people who were “concerned” about her and her baby’s health.

“I know how hard I have to push my body and my baby’s health has always been my No. 1 priority,” she said.

Carson previously shared the same sentiments in a chat with TODAY.com.

“As much as I want to dance and do it all, I have to be really careful to make sure I don’t overdo it,” she said ahead of the “DWTS” premiere on Sept. 15. “It’s completely safe to do anything and I’m handling it mentally and physically no differently than any other season.”

She emphasized that she loved dancing and competing, but she and her husband, Carson McAllister, were also ready to expand their family. The couple’s common children are Kevin (5) and Jet (3).

“I don’t think people should lose a piece of themselves to continue to raise their families. That’s kind of my mantra,” she told TODAY.com. “I’m going to stay true to what I love, continue my career, and continue to raise my family. It’s such a blessing to be able to do both.”
