Disney Plus is Broadcasting the 2027 Super Bowl in the US and 55 Countries

Disney is adding another player to ESPN’s 2027 Super Bowl offensive.

The Mouse House will stream Super Bowl LXI on Disney+ in the US and dozens of countries around the world. The move comes as Disney tries to create the biggest canvas possible for its big plays and expensive advertising.

Disney+ and ESPN have partnered with the NFL to announce on Wednesday that Disney+ will livestream Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027, providing football fans with another platform to watch ESPN’s first-ever Super Bowl production.

All Disney+ subscribers in the US will be able to stream the traditional game presentation on ESPN and ABC, as well as the Spanish-language broadcast on ESPN Deportes, with appearances from Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge.

Outside of the US, Disney+ will stream ESPN’s Super Bowl in more than 55 international markets, including Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, ESPN’s linear platforms will broadcast the Super Bowl in more than 130 countries and territories. Sports streamer DAZN has broadcast rights for the 2026-27 NFL season (including the Super Bowl) in more than 200 countries outside the US and China through its NFL Game Pass package.

In addition to Super Bowl LXI, two “Monday Night Football” regular season games will also be available to Disney+ subscribers ahead of the big game. The first will be the Dallas Cowboys game at Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, October 26 (Week 7), while the second will be announced at a later date. Both games will continue to air on ESPN, ABC and ESPN Deportes as planned, with the option to stream in both English and Spanish on Disney+.

All of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” games and Super Bowl programming will continue to be available on the ESPN App in the US

In August, Disney said it had already sold out of advertising inventory for the 2027 Super Bowl. This is the first time a broadcaster has announced a discount on Super Bowl ads. According to the company, 58 brands across 34 categories (including nine first-time Super Bowl commercials) provided units for the game.

But Disney isn’t trying to allocate more ad budget for Super Bowl LXI: The company is seeking $10 million to $12 million per 30-second spot if advertisers who committed to airtime back out and give up their spots. Diversity reported.

The addition of the Super Bowl and two “MNF” games to Disney+ joins the streamer’s expanding roster of sports; the company aims to encourage customers to subscribe to packages that include all ESPN coverage. Disney+ currently offers “College GameDay” as well as select ESPN college football games each week. Towards the end of this year, Disney+ subscribers in the US and most international markets can also begin streaming all Formula E races.

Super Bowl LXI will be played on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which previously hosted the 2022 championship game.
