Inspired by the Dutch show, the singing competition series kicked off in the United States in April 2011 Voice of the Netherlands. Four musicians mentor their teams of artists throughout the season, with one winner going home with a massive $100,000 prize and a recording contract with Universal Music Group.
Season 29 saw it Adam Levine‘s team wins with singer Alexia Jaycompeting against Team Kelly Clarkson Mickenlee Brown and Liv Ciara with John Legend Lucas West In the top 4 finals in April.
“There’s no one more deserving of this honor,” Levine said of Jay during the final, which marked his fourth victory in the series. (Levine previously won the show in seasons one, five and nine.)

Are there any coaches returning for Season 30 of The Voice?
After winning season 29 soundLevine will return to the coaching bench. (He served as the original coach sound from Season 1 to Season 16 before leaving the show in May 2019. Levine will return for Season 27 in 2025, with John Legend, Kelsey Ballerini and Michael Bligh.)
“I’ll be back,” Levine told people in a statement in April. “I’m having a lot of fun. It’s been great since I came back a few seasons ago and as long as they have me I’m very happy to continue.”
Clarkson will also return. (Clarkson previously served as a mentor from seasons 14 to 21, returning briefly in season 23 before leaving the show to move to New York. She most recently appeared in season 29.)

Are there new coaches joining The Voice Season 30?
NBC announced in May 2026 Queen Latifah and Riley Green They will debut in the show’s 30th season.
“I guess y’all can start calling me coach…see you this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice,” Green wrote on Instagram at the time.
When will The Voice Season 30 premiere?
sound Season 30 will premiere on Monday, September 21 at 8pm ET for a three-night period. The first two-hour episode will be followed by one-hour episodes on Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23.
