Stay true to you! Dr. Tess Mauricio He wants you to be your own inspiration. What matters is the famous dermatologist Cardi B., Priyanka ChopraAnd who And Khloe Kardashian As patients, we sat down with ET to share tips for looking just like you, or even better.
“The goal is to help patients look like the best version of themselves, not like someone else,” he shares.
To help you get there, Mauricio offers a range of options at M Beauty Clinic locations in Beverly Hills and San Diego, California, including lasers, ultrasound, radiofrequency microneedling, injectables, and regenerative treatments that address everything from texture, tone, and firmness to wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin laxity.
Think of it as a refresh rather than a makeover, with its most popular treatment being the Time Machine Procedure™.
“This is our signature nonsurgical regenerative aesthetic protocol designed to help patients achieve natural-looking rejuvenation by combining advanced technologies with regenerative approaches in a single treatment plan. … Rather than relying on one treatment to do it all, we thoughtfully combine different tools to address skin quality, collagen production, and visible signs of aging,” he says.
Yet the perfect beauty blend looks a little different for everyone.
“We include the UltraClear® Cold Fiber Laser, which offers multiple treatment modules that allow us to adjust the level and depth of resurfacing according to each patient’s needs and combine it with PRP or PRFM and, when clinically appropriate, topical peptides and targeted skin care, as well as other specialized treatments,” he explains.
“I believe in treatments that improve the quality of the skin. … Each protocol is personalized. The important thing is to find what works for each person, rather than following every new trend. … The key is to choose the right combination.”
And the care continues long after your appointment is over.
“Consistent, proper care can keep your skin glowing for years without surgery. … We create a personalized home care plan and talk with patients about optimizing sleep, managing stress, nutrition, hormones and overall health, which is especially important for regenerative aesthetics because we’re asking our bodies and immune systems to help repair the skin naturally. … In-office treatments can do a lot, but daily habits between visits and our overall health and lifestyle are also important,” notes Mauricio.
However, taking a break from aging also means putting an end to some habits.
“Getting too much sun right after a treatment can be a problem, and tanning or skipping sunscreen can undo progress and contribute to future damage. People can also irritate their skin by stacking too many strong products or reintroducing active ingredients too soon after a procedure. … More is not always better,” the doctor warns.
A light touch can go a long way with injectable products, too.
“People can go overboard with fullness when you try to add more volume rather than restore facial harmony and balance. While filler can be helpful for the right patient and powerful when applied artistically, it is not the answer to every concern.”
After all, Mauricio’s favorite kind of before and after is the kind of before and after you can’t quite understand.
“The important thing is to have healthy-looking skin at all ages, not to look like someone else. … People want to age in reverse without looking like they’ve been operated on. … My patients know they can look natural while achieving their goals.”
