Gypsy Rose Blanchard has responded to ex-fiancé Ken Urker’s alarming allegations against her following the death of her sister Autumn.
Autumn publicly condemned Blanchard for “disgusting” statements she made following Urker’s death, and claimed Blanchard hadn’t even spoken to his family in an interview with the Daily Mail Friday. He also claimed the ex-con lied that Urker was only found after he failed to respond to a message wishing him a happy birthday.
Blanchard addressed her strained relationship with Autumn in a statement to Us Weekly on Saturday.
“I don’t want the focus right now regarding Ken’s passing to be on the negativity or disagreements between Autumn and I,” he said. “It is no secret that Autumn disapproved of Ken’s relationship with me, and there was significant tension between us, including public comments he made about me in the months before his death.”
He disputed Autumn’s claim that she hadn’t spoken to her family.
“I remain in contact with Ken’s family, and those communications, as well as my relationship with Autumn, have been positive and respectful during an incredibly painful time,” he said.
Blanchard also made her own allegations against Autumn, claiming that Urker told her that her sister had “threatened” her in Blanchard’s last phone call to her on September 28.
“[He] “He said Autumn had repeatedly publicly threatened to ‘act harder’ and add to the negative comments and scrutiny he was already experiencing,” she alleged, adding that Urker was “deeply saddened” that he and Autumn did not get along.
Ürker passed away on his 34th birthday. Blanchard was found unresponsive by a family member at a home in Louisiana after she did not respond when he texted her a “happy birthday” message, according to TMZ, which first reported the news.
Autumn disputed this, accusing Blanchard, 35, of lying.
“Gypsy had no right to lie and say this was because of a message he sent her,” the woman told US Sun on Friday.
Autumn also claimed that Blanchard had been telling people that she and Ken were “engaged and planning baby number two,” which she said was untrue.
In a separate Daily Mail interview, Autumn also claimed that in her last phone call with her brother, Blanchard told her he was “horrified” that he couldn’t keep their daughter “safe.” She also claimed that Blanchard told her that she had “humiliated” him.
As for her opinion of Blanchard, Autumn brutally shared, “She loved all the attention at the expense of everyone around her.”
Blanchard told TMZ that Urker, whom she called her “soulmate forever,” died of an overdose.
Page Six exclusively reported that Urker, who quietly separated from Blanchard a month before her death, was found with drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun at the time of his death.
Blanchard and Urker had been dating on and off since she first wrote him a letter in 2017 while he was still in prison for his role in the murder of his mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, after years of abuse. They share a 1-year-old daughter named Aurora.
On Sunday, she urged her followers to sign an online harassment petition to honor her ex-fiancee. Blanchard said the legislation would be about “changing the way social media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment.”
“In Ken’s honor, I’m asking for your support for Kenan’s Law. 🤍,” she wrote on Instagram, claiming: “Ken was subjected to a tremendous amount of online scrutiny before he passed away, and we think this crosses the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying.”
“I can’t change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who thinks no one is listening,” he wrote.
