Harvey Keitel Stars in New York Drama Acting ‘The Method’

Harvey Keitel stars as a famous acting teacher in director and co-writer Gaurav Bhardwaj’s debut feature, “The Method”, produced by his “CTRL” banner Travelin Bone Entertainment in association with Imagination Infinite Motion Pictures.

Mina Sundwall (“Murdaugh: Death in the Family,” “Lost in Space”) also stars Rakshit Bhuchar and Rohan Maletira, who make their feature film debut with the film.

The story is set in New York’s cutthroat acting scene, where a talented Indian actor pursuing his art falls under the influence of Keitel’s teacher. As ambition, friendship, and artistic ideals clash, the mentor challenges each of them to consider what they would give up to succeed.

Production has been completed in the New York and New Jersey area, and the film is expected to be released in 2027.

“‘Method’ is not just a film about acting,” Bhardwaj said. “It explores the journeys of four artists: an Indian actor, a Canadian actor, an American playwright and director, and a respected acting teacher played by legendary actor Harvey Keitel. At its core, it is a film about aspirations and relationships.”

Bhardwaj added that each character and story carries personal weight for him as he has stood where each of them stood at some point in his own creative career. “The film explores the universal struggle to preserve our identities when our ambitions begin to demand that we sacrifice a part of ourselves. I want audiences to experience the same conflict our characters face—the tension between the relationships we value and the ambitions we choose to pursue.”

Travelin Bone was founded by Marc Sternberg, Steve Garrow and Naresh Malik. Netflix original film “CTRL” preceded “The Method” and the company is curating a slate of films and TV for both Indian and global audiences.

“With ‘The Method,’ we are bringing together extraordinary talent and creative teams from both countries,” said Garrow, the company’s co-founder and CEO. “It was a wonderful experience to work with Gaurav and witness the clarity and confidence with which he approached his first feature film, especially alongside an iconic actor like Harvey Keitel.”

Garrow also credited Sundwall’s genuine depth and presence on screen, saying the two new actors delivered work beyond what he expected.

“‘Method’ reflects my company’s philosophy in many ways,” said Lalit Bhatnagar, founder of Imagination Infinite Motion Pictures. “We are in a time where content and talent are becoming increasingly global. Traditional boundaries between industries and markets are becoming obsolete, creating an extraordinary opportunity to bring artists from different backgrounds together to tell compelling stories.”
