Barbara Eden was in good spirits as she headed out for the weekend, nearly two months after the “I Dream of Jeannie” star had to cancel an appearance due to a health scare.
The 95-year-old actress was spotted wearing a chic black outfit with a red jacket wrapped around her arm as she emerged from her car in Los Angeles on Saturday.
She also wore several statement jewelry pieces, including a turquoise necklace and matching earrings, as well as black heels.
On the day the photos were taken, Eden attended the Hollywood Show, an autograph and pop culture expo, and met with adoring fans, as seen in a video shared on the event’s Instagram account.
“Miss Eden is such a ray of sunshine! She’s beautiful inside and out. And there’s no way she’s in her 90s!” one fan remarked in the comments.
Another wrote: “She’s absolutely as beautiful as ever and doesn’t look 95 at all ❤️,” and a separate netizen added: “She looks gorgeous at her age, god bless you 🙌 🙏 ❤️ to you Barbara Eden.”
Event organizers said in a statement at the time that Eden abruptly left her appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in early September due to a “sudden illness.”
The “Harper Valley PTA” actress was set to receive the Cinecon Heritage Award at the film festival, but Pat Boone, who starred with Eden in 1961’s “All Hands on Deck” and 1963’s “The Yellow Canary,” accepted the honor on her behalf.
After the news broke, Eden took to Instagram to reassure fans that she was “fine” and explain just how exaggerated the situation was.
“Oh my gosh, there was some miscommunication,” his statement began. “I’m not suffering from a disease; my doctor recently prescribed a brand new medication, and it turned out to have some bad side effects.”
“Due to discomfort, my doctor ordered me to stay home until the problem is resolved,” he added.
Eden called it “terrible timing” and expressed his “deepest gratitude to everyone for this concern.”
“It’s just a speed boost!” He completed his article. “I hope to get out as soon as I’m allowed!”
Eden, who has had an acting and singing career spanning over seven decades, celebrated her 95th birthday in August.
He is best known for his portrayal of the genie in the NBC sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie,” opposite Larry Hagman’s astronaut Anthony “Tony” Nelson, which aired for five seasons from 1965 to 1970.
