Jon Gosselinex girlfriend Colleen Conrad remembers his ex-girlfriend’s son Collin Gosselin.
Conrad, who was with Jon from 2014 to 2021 after Jon split from Collin’s mother. Kate GosselinShe shared a touching Instagram post on Friday, October 23.
For the post, Conrad shared a series of photos of herself and Collin over the years and reacted to the publication of her memoirs: In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.
“When you came into my life you had already experienced more than a child should experience,” Conrad wrote. “I didn’t know what the next years would bring, but I knew that I loved you and wanted you to feel safe, loved, and supported.”
Conrad continued gushing in the lengthy caption, where he shared that Collin plays an important role in Collin’s life as well as his life.
“Watching you grow into the man you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” Conrad continued. “Listening to your book was incredibly emotional. It brought back good memories but also painful memories. I was going through breast cancer, it was the end of my relationship with your father, and there were so many changes in my own life.”
He added, “There was a young boy who needed me, despite everything. You may never fully understand how much I needed you, too. We helped each other through incredibly difficult times.”
Conrad stated in his memoir that he felt incredibly emotional reading Collin’s eulogy to him. She emphasized the love she would always have for Collin and promised to always be there for him, no matter what.
“As proud as I am of your book, I’m even prouder of the man you’ve become. No matter how old you are or where life takes you, I will always be your mother,” she wrote. “I will always love and cheer you on. Congratulations Collin. You deserve all the happiness and success life has to offer. I will always love you. ❤️.”

Taking to the comments section of Conrad’s Instagram post, Collin responded to his heartfelt words.
“I love you ❤️ I liked that you said you needed me too. This just goes to show how everything should be. “If I could go through all that hard stuff again, I would gladly do it, because it led me to you,” she wrote. “You are kind, loving, funny, and love the way a real mother should. I will forever be grateful for having you in my life. Thank you for listening, for showing up, and for never giving up on that young, broken, hurt little boy who didn’t believe in himself. Sometimes all we need is to know that our mother believes in us and that makes us feel confident enough in ourselves. ❤️❤️.”
