‘Law & Order: SVU’ Sets Stephanie March to Return as Alexandra Cabot

Deputy district attorney Alexandra Cabot is back.

Stephanie March will appear in the ninth episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” Season 28, reprising the role she played in more than 100 episodes. March was a member of the main “Special Victims Unit” cast from Season 2 in 2000 until Season 5 in 2003, when Cabot was forced to fake his own death and enter the witness protection program. He has returned to the series as a guest several times over the years, in Seasons 6, 10, 11, 13, and most recently in 2018’s Season 19. He also played Cabot in the 2006 legal drama “Conviction,” a short-lived “SVU” spinoff.

In addition to “SVU,” March’s highlights include Ricky Gervais’ 2009 comedy “The Invention of Lying,” Matthew Newton’s 2017 independent film “Who We Are Now,” Laura Kosann’s 2019 mockumentary “The Social Ones” and Ava Duvernay’s 2023 film “Origin.” He also collaborated with Duvernay on the 2022 TV series “Naomi.” In 2023, he appeared in the Amazon Prime Video series “Harlan Coben’s Shelter.” He is represented by Paradigm and Navigation Media Group.

Created by Dick Wolf, “SVU” is the longest-running prime time series in American Television history. The series is broadcast on Thursdays at 21.00. The current cast includes Mariska Hargitay, Ice T, Peter Scanavino, Kelli Giddish, Kevin Kane, Aimé Donna Kelly and Corey Cott. Wolf executive produces alongside Hargitay, Michele Fazekas, Kenneth Brown, Rebecca McGill, Anastasia Puglisi and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television produces the series in association with Wolf Entertainment.
