Lindsay Czarniak Campaigned for Husband Craig Melvin in ‘Sexiest Man’ Contest

There’s no mystery about who Emmy-winning broadcaster Lindsay Czarniak will vote for in People’s Sexiest Man Alive Readers’ Choice poll: her husband Craig Melvin.

The TODAY co-host is among the standout nominees in the “hotter than your morning coffee” category for morning show personalities, competing with Michael Strahan, Gio Benitez and Vladimir Duthiers.

And Lindsay isn’t shy about urging people to support her hot husband.

“Here’s the thing: I think he should win,” he said in an Instagram reel while conveniently holding a cup of coffee.

“As a wife and also as a journalist, I think I have a unique ability to throw my weight behind,” she said in the video posted Oct. 12.

“He is a great father, a great husband, a teammate, a partner, always very supportive and encouraging,” she said. “He makes terrible chili… He’s an expert at making candles. He’s really good at debating. That’s true, and I’m talking about the most positive aspects.”

“But beyond that, he’s someone who really cares about where he comes from, he makes people feel really good in his presence,” he continued.

“And beyond all the things that make him sexy on the outside — let’s be honest, dimple, guys, dimple — I think his character and his makeup on the inside makes us think that he really is, you know, the sexiest man alive.”

He ended his video with a call to action for viewers: “I hope you vote, and if you do, I hope you vote for Melvin. And he’s definitely hotter than my first cup of coffee.”

Although voting in the poll is now closed, results will be announced starting October 20.

Of course, Craig’s TODAY co-hosts couldn’t help but poke fun at him a little.

“We’re running a vigorous campaign,” Carson Daly said with a twinkle in his eye.

After watching a clip from Lindsay’s Instagram video, Craig asked, “How much did you pay for that?” he asked.

Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer, Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones, and Carson applauded Lindsay’s broadcasting skills and sincerity.

“He’s the best, man!” said Carson.

“So even if you lose, you win,” Dylan pointed out.

“You’re sweating more right now,” Carson commented.

“I’m so hot right now,” said Craig, clearly embarrassed by the attention.

“Yes you are!” joked Savannah. “That’s the point!”
