This means twice the nostalgia and twice the pleasure.
In a sweet Instagram post, Lindsay Lohan “reunited” the twins from the 1998 classic “Parent Trap,” whom she played when she was just 11 years old. They’re all grown up now!
Lohan shared a video reprising her roles as both Hallie and Annie for the twins’ birthday on October 11.
“The Parent Trap” centers around twins (Hallie, who grew up in the US, and Annie, who grew up in the UK) born to divorced parents. Separated at birth and each raised by one of their biological parents, the twins eventually meet at summer camp and come up with a plan to reunite their parents.
In the video, Lohan, as Annie, reminds her sister of her special day.
“Hi Hallie, happy birthday! You know it’s October 11th,” Lohan says in a British accent.
Lohan responds as Hallie.
“Annie you are so funny!” he says. “Of course I know it’s October 11th! Happy birthday bro.”
Our hearts!
The post was met with an outpouring of love, including a birthday wish for Elaine Hendrix, who plays villain Meredith Blake in the film.
Others also demanded a continuation of “The Parent Trap.”
“Okay, let’s announce The Parent Trap 2 now on tysm @disney,” one person wrote.
Lohan captivated millennial audiences with her references to the past. She recently recreated the iconic Oct. 3 “Mean Girls” scene.
This led fans to dub the actor the “Queen of October.”
Long live his reign!
