Halle Berryex girlfriend Olivier Martinez She was granted a temporary restraining order after accusing the actor of physically abusing their 12-year-old son Maceo.
Accordingly PeopleMartinez’s request was granted on Thursday, October 1. The temporary restraining order applies to both her and Maceo.
A temporary modification of visitation and partial custody was ordered to allow for “continued contact” between Berry, 60, and her son. The judge denied a request to monitor Berry’s sobriety, citing “insufficient information.”
Berry’s visiting hours were limited to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The temporary restraining order will remain in effect until a hearing is held later this month. The judge will then decide whether the order will be permanent.
On Thursday, news broke that Martinez, 60, had requested a domestic violence restraining order. In the documents obtained WeMartinez described an incident that allegedly occurred on Sept. 26, alleging that Maceo called him and asked to be picked up from Berry’s home after Berry “physically assaulted and strangled him.”
“While I was talking to our son on the phone, I heard him panicking and [Berry] Martinez claimed he was still yelling at her in the background. “When I come [Berry] I didn’t leave the house but [her] our partner helped our son carry his bags to my car.”
Martinez claimed Berry texted him the next day to apologize. He also claimed that this was not the first time Berry had made physical contact with his sons and that he had previously forced Maceo into a “chokehold” while training in “mixed martial arts”.
According to Martinez, Maceo appears “traumatized” by the alleged altercation and “doesn’t want to spend time” at Berry’s home. He requested that the couple’s 50-50 custody agreement be temporarily changed to a “no contact order.”
“I don’t want to permanently cut off our relationship with our son. [Berry]” the docs stated, “but so far I don’t believe they should interact with each other [Berry] can take adequate responsibility for their actions.”
Berry’s lawyer touched on the accusations in his statement We on Thursday.
“It would be an understatement to say that this application is completely unwarranted and deliberately misleading,” the lawyer said. Marina Beck in question. “There is ample evidence, including multiple judicial decisions, that Olivier Martinez repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with necessary treatment and educational interventions to the detriment of his and Halle Berry’s infant son, Maceo, an abuse for which Mr. Martinez is already legally sanctioned.”
The statement continued: “In one sense, today’s appeal is not entirely unexpected from an individual with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior. Fortunately, Halle is accustomed to such outrageous behavior from Mr. Martinez, and while she is deeply saddened, she will not let this deter her from fighting for Maceo’s best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs.”
Berry and Martinez were together for three years before marrying in July 2013. The couple gave birth to Maceo the same year. Martinez and Berry separated in October 2015 and later fought over custody arrangements. Their divorce was finalized in August 2023, seven years after they were declared legally single.
