‘Saiyaara’ Star Ahaan Panday Titles Sharvari’s Ali Abbas Zafar Film

Yash Raj Films on Monday announced that Ali Abbas Zafar’s romantic action-drama film pairing Sharvari with “Saiyaara” debutant Ahaan Panday will be titled “Beparwah”.

The reveal of the film’s title comes exactly five months before the film is set to hit theaters worldwide on the Good Friday holiday, March 26, 2027. Aditya Chopra is producing. “Beparwah” is the first time Panday and Sharvari share the screen.

Until Monday, the film was known only as Zafar’s untitled film. Yash Raj Films has initially set a date of July 2027, with the production’s shooting taking place in the United Kingdom, where most of the film was shot.

“Beparwah” reunites Zafar with Chopra for the fifth time. Their previous collaborations were romantic comedy “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” (2011), crime drama “Gunday” (2014), wrestling drama “Sultan” (2016) and spy thriller “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). The last two, both featuring Salman Khan, were blockbusters for the banner. Zafar co-wrote the script with Chopra.

Since “Tiger Zinda Hai”, Zafar has directed Khan again in “Bharat” (2019), created the Prime Video political series “Tandav” (2021) and helmed “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” (2024), an Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff action vehicle.

Panday made her big screen debut with Mohit Suri’s YRF musical romance film “Saiyaara” opposite newcomer Aneet Padda and went on to become one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2025. The film grossed more than $65 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing Indian love story in history. Panday is the nephew of actor Chunky Panday and cousin of actor Ananya Panday.

Sharvari started her career with YRF’s “Bunty Aur Babli 2” (2021) and broke through with the horror-comedy “Munjya” in 2024, which crossed $14 million at the box office. This July, she starred opposite Alia Bhatt in “Alpha,” the first female-led entry in YRF’s espionage universe franchise.

The cast of “Beparwah” also includes Sharvari’s “Alpha” co-star Bobby Deol and Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena party founder Bal Thackeray, who plays the antagonist.

Founded in 1970 by the late Yash Chopra and currently run by his son Aditya, YRF is one of India’s leading studios. Zafar’s espionage universe, which includes the film “Tiger Zinda Hai”, also includes the films “War” and “Pathaan”.
