Selma Blair, accused of injuring flight crew, arrested

It is claimed that Selma Blair experienced a violent incident on a Delta Airlines plane.

The “Cruel Intentions” star was taken into custody Sunday night and transported to a hospital for evaluation after he allegedly physically abused flight staff, according to the Port Authority of New York. The Port Authority Police Department responded to a call around 11 p.m. after a flight from Los Angeles International Airport landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport and two flight attendants required medical attention after an alleged in-flight altercation. A flight attendant was also transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The FBI is investigating the incident.

According to Blair’s representatives, “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behavior. She received immediate medical attention upon landing and is currently in stable condition.”

In dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, a flight attendant had a nosebleed and allegedly “banged her head” on Blair’s overhead compartment.

“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or illegal behavior because the safety of our customers and crew always comes first,” a spokesperson for Delta said in an emailed statement to The Times.

Blair was hospitalized after the incident that occurred on a plane from Cancun, Mexico, to Los Angeles International Airport in 2016. He later apologized for this behavior, saying in a statement: “I made a huge mistake yesterday. After a lovely road trip with my son and his father, I mixed alcohol with medication, which caused me to black out and caused me to say and do things that I deeply regret.”

The FBI could not immediately be reached for comment.
