Selma Blair He is speaking more than two weeks after he was arrested over an alleged altercation on a Delta flight.
The 54-year-old actress couldn’t hold back her tears, apologizing for the incident in a video published on Instagram on Friday, October 30.
“Hi, it’s me. And I know I’ve been quiet for a few weeks since October 11th and you deserve to hear from me directly and I’m sorry it’s taken so long,” she began. “There is a legal matter and my lawyers have asked me not to say anything about that day, I am listening to them and I take this very seriously.”
Although he did not go into details of the flight incident, Blair emphasized that he was sorry for what happened and that he had no ill intentions.
“But what I can tell you is the simplest and truest thing I know about myself: I have never intended to hurt or scare anyone, not a day in my life,” he said. “I’m deeply sorry to the people I’ve disappointed, hurt, scared, worried.”
Blair also expressed his gratitude to those who supported him in the wake of the scandal.
“And to the people who wrote or called or sent wishes of love or care, it meant everything to me and my son who was my world. [Blair’s service dog] Scout is good too,” Blair said.
Cruel Intentions Star ended her message as follows: “So from now on, I will take care of my health and my son and think of all of you with gratitude and love.”
Blair was arrested earlier this month for allegedly attacking flight attendants on a flight from Los Angeles to New York.
“He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation,” the JFK Port Authority Police Department said. We “Two flight attendants also reported injuries and one was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The FBI is investigating this incident,” the Oct. 11 statement said.
Blair, whose lawyer claimed that the attack was not intentional and that he was confused because he had missed the dose of his multiple sclerosis medication, did not accept the accusations at the hearing on October 12. He was released on bail from police custody.
“Selma Blair suffered a medical emergency during the flight,” Blair’s representative said. We He mentioned the incident for the first time in his statement on October 16. “There was no attempt to open the plane door. Selma had no intention of harming anyone.”
The spokesman also hit out at “outrageous” speculation about Blair’s MS war.
The statement said, “Her diagnosis has been public since 2018. What Selma has been able to do physically since then is nothing short of a miracle. She still has bad days and lives with pain every day.” “Selma also has pseudobulbar affect, a neurological condition secondary to MS that is directly related to how a medical event is presented to people who don’t know her. She travels with a service dog that won’t leave her side for the same reason, and authorities took her dog away from her.”
Since her diagnosis, Blair has continued to work on multiple projects while also becoming a “visible and relentless advocate for disability rights,” according to the spokesperson.
The statement concluded: “There is much more to this story than what has been reported, and we ask that all of the facts be considered before reaching a verdict, whether in the courtroom or in public.”
Blair’s next hearing will be held on January 19, 2027.
