Fox News, which has made new efforts to expand its podcast lineup in recent months, is launching a podcast that will feature a rotating group of women who will tackle topics that may not receive similar attention on TV.
“Fox News’ the Girls” will air weekly, with new episodes every Thursday, starting Oct. 1, and will feature conversations on topics ranging from politics and pop culture to money, marriage, parenting, relationships and careers. The premiere episode will feature Fox News Media regulars Rachel Campos-Duffy, Harris Faulkner and Kat Timpf, along with recent Fox News contributor Melissa DeRosa and former ESPN host Samantha Ponder.
Fox News Digital and new media president Porter Berry said in a prepared statement that the program “represents a natural addition to our growing podcast portfolio, and we’re excited to continue expanding our diverse programming that complements our existing lineup while creating new opportunities for our audiences to engage with our content.”
“We are excited to deliver a no-holds-barred format that captures the authenticity and perspectives of the many dynamic women at Fox News Media and beyond,” Megan Albano, Fox News vice president of morning programming and program development, said in a prepared statement.
Fox News is expanding its podcast offerings as more traditional TV news organizations look to attract younger listeners and viewers who are spending more time with independent “creators” hosting independent video podcasts and newsletters. Episodes of “The Girls” will be released on platforms such as Fox News Digital, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The new podcast joins audio offerings from Fox News Media such as “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” “Ruthless,” “Will Cain Country,” “Planet Tyrus” and “The Riley Gaines Show.”
